ArteCity is a new development in the heart of Miami Beach’s Cultural Arts district also known as Collins Park. Originally completed in 2008, the little remaining inventory is now in the control and being sold by the Starwood Group after the original developers went bankrupt.
ArteCity is a wonderful development for so many reasons. The location is great, right on the Mid-Beach/South Beach border and very close to the shopping and nightlife hotspot that is Lincoln Road. A big draw is the proximity to key cultural resources such as the Miami City Ballet, the Bass Museium and the Miami Convention Center - home to an exciting array of events year round, including the annual Art Basel festival. ArteCity residetns enjoy complimentary beach chairs on the beach which is just two blocks away, between the upscale hotels of The W and The Setai.
The apartments themselves are built to high specifications with custom Italian kitchens and bathrooms. The building has all the amenities that you’d expect from a classy establishment – spa/ pools / gym and is surrounded by beautiful tropical landscaping.
The ArteCity development consists of 200 units across 6 buildings. The Governor building is an historic art deco building dating back to 1935 originally as a hotel. The city of Miami Beach has a preservation on all art deco buildings so you will still find it's beautiful facade and art deco stylings, however the units and interior has been completely gut renovated, maintaining an art deco feel with terazzo floors throughout the lobby area.
The two main towers of the complex are the North and South Tower. Each with 12 ft high ceilings and large one, two and three bedrooms units with the penthouse levels offering private rooftops complete with hot tubs.
With the rest of the building sold out the last units to be released to the market are two sets of villas, the East and West villas, one with a private pool. The villas are one and two bedrooms, each two stories. One bedrooms are priced at $430,000 and two bedrooms at $605,000-$625,000.
ArteCity allows monthly renting, making it an attractive proposition for second home owners and investors. There are over 100 different floor plans for Artecity.
Resale units may be found at this time in the Governor building - the first building to have been released. See below for current inventory.
